What can we help with?

ADHD Assessments

Comprehensive assessments for children experiencing difficulties with attention, focus, impulsivity or hyperactivity. Our specialist team can help identify ADHD and provide guidance on the most appropriate next steps.

Autism Concerns

If you have concerns about your child's social interaction, communication or behaviour, our paediatric specialists can assess their development and advise on further evaluation and support where needed.

Developmental Delay

Expert assessment for children who may be reaching milestones later than expected, including speech, language, motor skills and social development, helping families understand the cause and available support.

Behavioural Difficulties

Support for children experiencing behavioural challenges at home, school or in social settings. We work with families to understand underlying factors and recommend appropriate management strategies.

Asthma

Assessment and treatment for children with asthma symptoms, including wheezing, coughing and shortness of breath. We help develop effective management plans to improve symptom control and quality of life.

Allergies

Diagnosis and management of a range of childhood allergies, including food, environmental and seasonal allergies. Our specialists can help identify triggers and create personalised treatment plans.

Sleep Problems

Expert advice for children experiencing sleep difficulties, including trouble falling asleep, frequent waking or disrupted sleep patterns, helping to improve rest for both children and parents.

Feeding Issues

Assessment and support for feeding difficulties, fussy eating, poor weight gain, swallowing concerns and other nutritional challenges that may affect your child's growth and wellbeing.

Bedwetting

Sensitive and supportive care for children experiencing bedwetting or continence issues. We help identify potential causes and recommend practical treatment options to improve confidence and daily life.

Recurrent Infections

Investigation and management of frequent infections, such as ear infections, chest infections or tonsillitis, helping to determine whether further assessment or treatment is required.

Growth Concerns

Assessment of children who may be growing more slowly or quickly than expected. Our paediatricians can evaluate growth patterns and investigate any underlying medical concerns.

Paediatric Rheumatology

Children’s rheumatology looks at common problems with rheumatic diseases which often involve swelling and inflammation in the joints or muscles. Rheumatology issues are diagnosed by a range of tests including a physical examination by a Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist, ultrasound scans, MRI scans and blood tests. Treatment will depend on the specific condition but can include physiotherapy, pain management and anti-inflammatory medication.

Juvenile Arthritis
One of the most common conditions treated by paediatric rheumatologists is juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) where joints become inflamed and painful due to an autoimmune reaction resulting in  joint swelling, restriction and stiffness. Treatment for JIA includes medication, such as anti-inflammatory drugs and immunosuppressive drugs, exercise and physiotherapy.

Juvenile Dermatomyositis
This rare condition causes symptoms such as muscle weakness and rashes in children. It’s an autoimmune disease which means the immune system attacks healthy cells in the body which damages the cells and causes the symptoms of juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM). Symptoms of JDM can be managed with immunosuppresive medication and physiotherapy.

If your child is affected by any of the above conditions or similar rheumatology problems then book a consultation with one of Pall Mall Medical’s Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologists.
