Once your results come back from the lab, your clinician will call you with the results. There are 3 types of results: positive, negative and inconclusive.
Here is what the results mean:
A positive result means that it’s highly likely you have endometriosis and that there is a presence of it in your body. Further investigations like laparoscopy may be needed. Some women choose to opt for medical management instead.
A negative result means it’s unlikely that endometriosis is present, but you should not completely rule it out.
An inconclusion result means that you may have to repeat testing
Booking your test is the first big step, and you can overcome that today. Once you’ve had your test, our gynae team will help you with next steps, including medications referrals, and ways to look after yourself at home.
