Mr Simon Timbrell Consultant Breast Surgeon

Simon is a consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon at Liverpool Foundation Trust since September 2024. He has extensive oncoplastic surgery training and a unique breadth of experience, spending at least a year in each of three national oncoplastic centers of Wythenshawe, Liverpool and Leeds. He is able to offer patients a full range of oncoplastic procedures including chest wall perforator flaps, therapeutic mammoplasty, implant-based reconstruction and revisional surgery.

He undertook an NIHR academic clinical fellowship and MD at the university of Manchester looking at the role of FAK in regulating CSC and has over 20 publications with 6 as first author. He completed the prestigious TIG national fellowship in Leeds and during his career has performed over 3000 surgeries with over 2000 breast procedures. During his fellowship he worked with a UK leading authority on BIA-ALCL Breast Implant-Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma and is able to offer total capsulectomies and mastopexy.
